GUIDE TO SUBMITTING HOME ENERGY SURVEYS
Teachers, earn your school rewards when you follow the checklist below.
1. Receive your packet of Home Energy Surveys and replied paid envelope. There will be one per student.
2. Receive the shipment of Energy-Saving Kits for Year 6 classrooms.
3. It’s the day of the show! Enjoy this collective experience!
4. Distribute Home Energy Surveys (and Energy Saving Kits for Year 6 students) for your students to bring home and complete with their families.
5. Collect the Home Energy Surveys from your students. Once you’ve gotten over half back, send them to us with the pre-addressed and stamped envelope provided.
6. Prepare to answer these key questions by asking your class for a show of hands to answer the following:

What percentage of students showed the kit to their parents?

What percentage of students taught their parents what they learned?
A quick hands-up poll will give you an easy way to estimate the proportions.​

By returning your class completed surveys to the Smart Energy Academy, we can track the impact so students and families help their school to work toward the collective goal of the Smart Energy Academy program - to save 2 million kWh of energy across Queensland!
