Smart Energy Academy Rewards Program Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility
The Smart Energy Academy Rewards Program is open to schools in Queensland, Australia, who have signed up and are participating in the Smart Energy Academy program. Only registered schools returning completed Home Energy Surveys qualify for rewards.

2. Program Rewards

• $100 for schools returning 50 or more Home Energy Surveys.

• $500 for one participating family, only if they return their completed Home Energy Survey.

• Additional $500, $1,000, or $2,000 for three schools selected at random, only if they have returned 50 or more completed Home Energy Surveys.

• Note: The same school cannot be drawn more than once for these additional rewards.

3. Program Period
The program commences on Monday, 14 October 2024, and runs for up to 12 months until Monday, 13 October 2025. However, the program may conclude earlier if all required Home Energy Surveys have been collected. In such cases, the program end date will be communicated by announcing the winners on the Smart Energy Academy website.

4. Submission & Selection
To be eligible, schools must submit completed Home Energy Surveys using the provided reply-paid envelope. Additionally, teachers must complete an online confirmation form to validate that the Home Energy Surveys have been returned. Schools and families meeting these criteria will be randomly selected for cash rewards.

5. General Conditions

• The program is a game of chance; no purchase or payment is necessary.

6. Notification & Prize Distribution
Winning schools and families will be notified via email or phone. Families may also be notified through their school and may not be contacted directly. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

7. Privacy
By participating, schools and families consent to their data being used for research and evaluation purposes in accordance with Smart Energy Academy’s privacy policy.
 

8. Liability & Indemnity
Smart Energy Academy and its associated entities will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the program or acceptance of the rewards, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. By participating, entrants agree to indemnify and hold Smart Energy Academy harmless from any claim, loss, or damage incurred in connection with the program.

9. Prize Delivery and Substitution
Prizes will be delivered within 30 days of the winner's notification unless agreed otherwise in writing. If a prize is unavailable, Smart Energy Academy reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Substitution will only be made with the winner’s consent.

10. Handling Unclaimed Prizes
If a prize is not claimed within three months of the draw date, a re-draw will be conducted, and the new winner will be notified using the contact details provided. Prizes that remain unclaimed after the re-draw will be forfeited.

11. Reward Payment
All cash rewards will be paid via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the nominated bank account of the winning school or family, or by issuing a VISA debit card or a similar transactional card for the cash value within 30 days of prize confirmation. Winners will be contacted to provide necessary details, and funds will only be transferred or cards issued once verification is complete. Smart Energy Academy will not be responsible for any delays due to incorrect information provided by the winner.

12. Program Administrator
The Smart Energy Academy program and associated rewards are administered by The National Theatre for Children, a registered entity responsible for overseeing the program and handling any disputes. The National Theatre for Children can be contacted at schools@nationaltheatre.com.au
